Hindi + Urdu
Reading - I am relearning the alphabet and for some things I am only using devanagari to not use the transliterations as a crutch
Writing - I am working on Hindi spelling a bit and working through an Arabic alphabet book (as my 4 year old is practicing his letters). My Urdu reading is rough but I'm hopeful to improve beyond where I was.
Speaking - I am not practicing as much as I would like but am starting to use more basic phrases with the little one. I'm also recreating flashcards that I can try to do a video of them... Which reminds me how good of practice video making is.
Homeschool
We are working through Learning Hinglish by learning basic sentence frames. My little one can follow basic instructions in Hindi and will recognize simple vocabulary. He can order food and use basic phrases but he's still learning how to communicate.
He calls Hindi the "Kaise How baby mater one" and Spanish is "the como estas one."
He is also working on the English alphabet and learning to read.
Spanish and Portuguese
I'm working on separating them with a Spanish/English bilingual teacher who is sooo good at helping me where I am.
Portuguese - listening to some poetry and hip hop
Chinese
The little one loves the sounds so we dabble in Duolingo occasionally and I revisit the basics from time to time.
French
I'm considering dabbling in it again. A neighborhood aquantance is learning and it would be fun to practice with her and encourage her to keep studying.
Latin
Working on learning the roots and vocabulary and reading the Bible from time to time.
When the little one asks what something means I try to be intentional if it is a common root. Today we learned about thermometers and talked about thermo and meter meaning temperature it hear and measure. I am not 100% sure there were spot on but he is 4 so it's ok and it's a lot of fun to define things on this way.
Looking for a photo, I found one that I could not explain in any of the languages clearly, but it seems so simple...
Homework assignment for myself
As always, I'm so sorry for my atrocious spelling errors ♥️
